Q: Results of Ultrasound Cavitation vs. Liposuction or Tummy Tuck?
Our Ultrasound Cavitaion can be considered as a treatment alternative to surgical liposuctions or tummy tuck. Both treatments are designed to reduce fatty tissues. However, Liposuction and tummy tuck procedures are "invasive" while Ultrasound Cavitation is non-invasive.
Q: How does Ultrasonic Cavitation work?
Ultrasound Cavitation is an fda approved treatment. As with light waves, ultrasonic waves can be reflected, refracted (bent), focused, and absorbed. Unlike light waves, ultrasonic waves are very physical in nature; they are actual movement of molecules as the medium is compressed (at high pressure) and expanded (at low pressure), and thus ultrasound can act physically upon biomolecules and cells.
Q: What is Ultrasound?
My machine runs with 25-28 khz which is the strongest on the market. there are other machines out there that run on 40 khz which require massage and more visits to achieve the same result. they are less expensive per session but 1 of my sessions equals 3 to 5 of theirs. We measure sound by the time which vibrates per second. This is referred to as frequency, which is represented in Hertz. Humans can hear for 20Hz to 20,000Hx or 20KHz. We are unable to hear anything above or below these levels, therefore sound waves with frequencies above 20,000 Hz we call Ultrasonic. A Megahertz is 1,000,000 hertz. Usually an Ultrasonic frequency of 1 to 5MHz is used for various medical treatments.
Q: Does the treatment hurt?
Most of our patients consider the procedure painless. However, a small number of patients experience a slight discomfort due to the specific noise, but it poses no harm and disappears as soon as you are not in contact with the applicator. You may also experience a little warmth during the treatment.
Q:What are the typical results and are they permanent?
Most typically patients lose between .5 and 3 inches per application and unlike traditional body wraps, you are losing fat cells as opposed to water, therefore the results are permanent. Remember to combine your Cavitation appointments with proper diet and exercise so the process is enhanced, it works hand in hand with proper exercise! i do have clients who choose not to workout, of course it still works but you will see a combined success with both!
Q: Laser vs. Ultrasound Cavitation?
Laser Liposuction does NOT destroy fat cells. Laser Liposuction treatments work by increasing the metabolism of the fat cell. This causes the fat cell to become porous, like a sponge. The cell opening allowing the liquid fat to move into the lymphatic area and work its way our slowly over time. Fat cells remain active for 48 hours following a Laser Lipo treatment necessitating treatments every 48 hours for a MINIMUM of 2 weeks(6 sessions). If a single Laser Lipo treatment is missed, the client will see little to no results. This process can take up to 12 sessions for desired results.
Results of Laser Lipo are not immediate. A client needs to wait approx 2 weeks for the fat to clear out before results are visible.
Many clients show noticeable results only 50% of the time. In many cases, fat simply moves back into the cell. The cell is NOT destroyed during a Laser Lipo treatment.
Most clients will see fat return to their bodies within the following 3 months of completing the Laser Lipo treatments. The results of all treatments are lost! People are very unhappy with the long-term results of Laser Lipo and find it difficult to schedule appointments every 48 hours to get their desired results.
